  • These are the official first Beatle studio recordings, and were done in Hamburg, Germany when the band was playing there regularly in 1961-1962. But really the studio just wanted them backing up Tony Sheridan. Polydor put on a couple of extra Sheridan tracks from the same period to fill out a compilation
